Worship

Worship of God is one of the priorities of the Methodist Church. Here at Lancaster we try to offer a mix of traditional and innovative worship, including services held at non-traditional times (and not always on the church premises!). Our main services of worship are:
  • Sunday morning worship, including Junior Church, is held at 10.30 am. The Music Group usually leads singing while the first part of the service is designed to be inclusive, all-age worship.
  • Evening worship is held at 6.30 pm each Sunday. This is a much smaller congregation with a fairly traditional type of service.
  • 'Alternative worship' services are held occasionally at both Scotforth Road and The Cornerstone.

Morning services are held at the Scotforth Road church, where there are facilities for children of all ages (see the Young People page). Coffee is served after the service.  Evening services are held at The Cornerstone, our Sulyard Street premises.

You are most welcome to join us at any of our services. There are communion services at least once a month.

Traidcraft goods are available at the Church after each Sunday morning service.
