Building Scheme A major refurbishment of the Scotforth Road premises started in early January 2004. We modernised the church and made it suitable for a wide range of uses. The pews and the old pulpit were removed and a meeting room created in the entrance foyer. The main worship area has been opened out and furnished with chairs that can be set out in different configurations, while the chancel area forms a large and flexible 'stage'. The whole building has been made accessible to those with differing abilities. We celebrated the re-opening of the premises on Saturday July 10th 2004. We are most grateful to all the members and friends who have given so generously to enable this scheme to be undertaken. |
